SureFire Fire & Smoke Extract Ductwork
Our SureFire fire-rated ductwork was the first Irish-owned system of its kind to enter the market, with testing beginning in 2005. It has been developed to meet the demanding fire safety requirements of modern building projects.
Fire-Rated Ductwork for Critical Applications
The prevention of fire and smoke spread through ducted systems is critical to maintaining fire compartmentation and protecting occupants. Non-fire-resisting ductwork can allow fire and smoke to spread between compartments, making the correct specification and installation of fire-rated ductwork essential.
SureFire is a fully tested fire-rated ductwork system designed for a wide range of fire and smoke control applications, including kitchen extract, smoke extract, pressurisation, passive and over escape corridors, and maintaining compartmentation.
Up to 4 Hours Fire Resistance
Independently tested by the Warrington Fire Research Department, SureFire achieved 245 minutes of fire resistance – demonstrating exceptional performance for fire-rated ventilation ductwork.
Wide Range of Applications
SureFire is suitable for a wide range of fire and smoke control applications, including passive ductwork, smoke extract, kitchen extract, pressurisation, above escape corridors and isolation rooms.
Flexible Design
Available in square, round and flat oval configurations, with stainless steel or black mild steel options. SureFire can also incorporate silencers, dampers and insulation, with ductwork sizes available up to 3000 × 2000mm.
Tested and Certified to EN Standards
SureFire ductwork is manufactured and tested to the relevant EN standards, with fire resistance tested to EN 1366-1 in both insulated and uninsulated configurations. The system complies with EN 15871 and is suitable for applications requiring fire and smoke-rated ductwork.
For smoke extract applications, ductwork must meet the relevant requirements of EN 12101-7, with testing and classification to EN 1366-8 and EN 1366-9 where applicable. These harmonised standards include requirements for the ductwork to be CE marked.
Where multi-compartment applications require insulation, SureFire provides fully insulated ductwork systems to maintain the required level of fire resistance.
Installation and Certification
SureFire systems are installed in accordance with strict procedures covering manufacture, installation and inspection. On completion, certification is provided by our trained installers through independent third-party certification providers.
With a history of design and testing dating back to 2005, SureFire has been supplied across the UK, mainland Europe and the Far East, with the system manufactured and marketed by independent manufacturers under various names.
