Our Access Door Range
SureFire EnSave Fire-Rated Access Doors
Heavy-duty, insulated access doors designed for fire-rated ductwork, including rectangular and round ductwork with a suitable mounting saddle.
SureFire EnSave doors are tested for use with fire-rated systems to BS 476, EN 15871 and EN 12101-7, with CE-marked options for smoke extract applications. The range has also been independently pressure tested by BSRIA, achieving Class D leakage classification in the documented tests.
Available in 25mm and 76mm thicknesses, with stock sizes ranging from 200 × 200mm to 450 × 450mm, plus other sizes available on request.
SF/AD Standard Fire-Rated Access Doors
Our SF/AD range provides an insulated fire-rated access door for applications including fire-rated ductwork, kitchen extract and smoke extract systems.
The doors feature high-density calcium magnesium silicate insulation and have been tested for fire duct applications including BS 476, EN 15871 and EN 12101-7.
Standard stock sizes include 250 × 250mm, 300 × 300mm, 350 × 350mm, 400 × 250mm, 450 × 300mm and 450 × 450mm.
EnSave 144 Pressure-Tested Access Doors
Insulated access doors designed for insulated ductwork where the access door needs to match the insulation requirements of the duct system.
The EnSave 144 range is independently tested by BSRIA to 2,000 Pa positive and -750 Pa negative pressure, with exceptionally low leakage results. The doors are suitable for rectangular ductwork, with the option to fit circular ductwork using a mounting saddle.
Stock sizes include 150 × 150mm, 200 × 200mm, 250 × 250mm, 300 × 150mm, 300 × 300mm, 400 × 400mm, 450 × 300mm and 450 × 450mm, with additional sizes available on request.
ECO/AD & ECO/R/AD Uninsulated Access Doors
Uninsulated access doors for rectangular and round ductwork, supplied with an air-seal gasket.
ECO/RD rectangular doors are available in sizes from 200 × 100mm to 600 × 500mm, while ECO/R/AD doors are available in a range of sizes for round ductwork.
EZFIT Insulated Access Doors
EZFIT insulated tabbed access doors are designed for DW/144 ductwork and provide a quick, straightforward installation solution.
The double-skinned galvanised steel doors incorporate permanently sealed thermal insulation and camlocks to provide an airtight seal. The range is available in several sizes for both smaller and larger rectangular ducts, with options designed around different levels of access, from hand access through to larger maintenance openings.
Choosing the Right Access Door
Selecting the correct access door is important for maintaining the performance and integrity of the ductwork system.
The right specification depends on several factors, including:
Ductwork type
Access doors are available for rectangular and round ductwork, with mounting saddles available for fitting suitable doors to spiral ductwork.
Insulated or uninsulated
The door should be appropriate for the insulation arrangement of the ductwork. Using the wrong type can affect thermal performance, appearance and installation.
Pressure classification
For pressure-tested ductwork systems, the access door needs to be suitable for the required leakage classification. The range includes pressure-tested doors for higher-pressure applications.
Fire rating
Fire-rated ductwork requires compatible fire-rated access doors. Our SureFire ranges are tested for relevant fire and smoke extract applications.
Access Requirements
Choose the door size and configuration based on the level of access required, from inspection and cleaning through to maintenance access.
Standards & Compliance
Ensure the access door meets the relevant standards and performance requirements for the ductwork system and application.
