Overview
The Elta KGI-1250 ventilation interlock system, with built in current monitoring, is designed specifically for use in commercial kitchens to meet BS6173. This panel is to be used when the kitchen appliances have flame failure devices, therefore Gas proving is not a requirement. It acts as an interlock between the ventilation system and the gas solenoid valve. The system has built in current monitors to interlock with up to 2 fans.

Gas & Fan Interlocking
The KGI-1250 provides interlocking of up to two fans and the gas solenoid valve
Integral Current Monitoring
Adjustable current monitors are provided for up to two fans between 0.1A and 20.0A, these provide an improved method of fan monitoring over pressure differential switches.
Emergency Shut Off
The unit is fitted with an emergency shut off cutting off the gas supply when activated.
BMS Connections
Connections are available to integrate with a Building Management System to make or break a circuit dependent on whether gas is on or off, (valve open or valve closed). This will tell the BMS whether the kitchen has use of the gas supply.
Fire Alarm Integration
The unit can be integrated with a fire alarm to close the gas supply automatically in the event of a signal from the fire alarm panel.
Designed to BS6173
Appliances must be interlocked with any mechanical ventilation system that is fitted cutting off the gas supply or prevent the operation of appliances if the mechanical ventilation system provides an inadequate airflow rate for the safe operation of appliances and the safety of personnel.

The KGI-1250 Gas Interlock system as supplied by Elta UK limited, 46 Third Avenue, Pensnett Trading Estate, Kingswinford, West Midlands, DY7 7US, UK.
Operation
The KGI-1250 shall provide an interlock between the Gas Solenoid valve and the Mechanical Ventilation System in accordance with BS6173 using integrated current monitors. LED Status indication shall be provided for Power, Gas On, Emergency Stop, Supply Fan, Extract Fan, Fan Fault and Service. When fans have been activated the FGI-1250 shall be switched on using the key switch. The Panel mounted Emergency shut off shall be used to disconnect the Gas Solenoid Valve in the event of emergency, further emergency shut off switches for remote use can be used.
Warranty
The KGI-1250 shall have a Three Year Warranty.
